Prices for 2010.
Local schools or organisations (within 30 km of Latrobe) $330.00 per day, or $55.00 a 1/2- 1 hour session.
Other Tasmanian schools or organisations. $330.00 per day plus some travel expenses
Mainland schools or organisations $330.00 per day, with a minimum of three days' work (which may be shared among neighbouring schools). Accommodation (billet is fine) would be appreciated.
For single day or single session mainland bookings, economy airfares and accommodation (billet is fine) is necessary, otherwise I run at a loss.

Meet the Author sessions
Question and answer sessions, including some information on writing as a profession.
Class Magazine; Year 4 and up. (sessions for half day or full day)
Pupils work under editorial guidance to produce a class magazine from plan to print. Different assignments reflect different abilities and strengths, and children choose their own speciality.
Stories and poetry: Year 2 - Adult. (sessions last approx. 45 min each)
Story writing techniques, including story shaping, logical plotting, situation plotting, ideas factory, avoiding common mistakes.
Poetry writing techniques, including "picture poetry" (decorated verse for gifts or display), avoiding common mistakes, beat or scansion, rhyme and assonance.
Storytelling; Kindergarten - Year 2. (sessions last approx. 30 min)
Interactive storytelling, with and without picture books. This includes some information about the stories, how they were constructed, and where the ideas came from.
PD Sessions for Teachers (sessions last approx. 45 min - 1 hour)
Sessions are available on request. These deal with writing for children, "reason to write", and suggestions for gifted and talented programs, as well as encouragement for less able writers.
Manuscript Assessment; Year 6 - Adult
Assessments available for writers hoping for publication, or to get books in shape for self-publishing. Assessment is done by e-mail. Prices begin at $22.00 for the first hour. More information at http://www.affordablemanuscriptassessments.com

Background on writing for publication or personal satisfaction. Content varies according to the clients' field of interest.
