Publishing Package

Affordable Manuscript Assessments now offers a publishing package for authors who want to fast-track their manuscripts instead of going through the traditional publishing process. Using our package, you might have a paperback in your hands in one or two months. This book would be privately printed, or self-published. The book should be--

one you have written yourself

one written by a close friend or relative (in which case you will be making a gift)

OR a collection put together by a group or club.

What you get.

 Your manuscript of up to 50,000 words will be assessed. If major changes are necessary, then you will act on the assessment.

When the manuscript is structurally sound, we will edit your story, and send you the proof to check.

We will then format your manuscript and produce a *coloured cover.

*If you have an image you wish to use, we will include it, as long as it is a good quality jpg to which you own the rights.

Black and white illustrations can be included only if you provide them.  Again, they should be good quality jpgs or photographs.

You can send author notes, dedications, author photo, or any other information you would like in your book.

When the paperback is printed, you will be sent a proof copy for a final check. Let us know of any errors, and we will fix these and send you a final copy of your book.

What you don't get.

Your book will not have an isbn or bar code, unless you specifically request this. It will cost extra.

Your book will not have coloured pictures inside.

There is no distribution deal, and without an isbn most book shops would not stock the book.

If you want more than one final copy of your book, you must purchase these at cost (cost of printing + postage).

 

What you can do with your book.

You can order more copies of your book at cost. You can give these as gifts, or sell them locally. Since the book is privately published, you still own all the rights, so any profit generated belongs to you, or to any other person or charity you care to nominate.

 

What you pay

This package costs

$330.00 for a short children's story of 5000 words or less.

$440.00 for a longer story, novella, cook book, autobiography etc of up to 20,000 words.

$550.00 for a novel or any other book of up to 50,000 words.

Other packages are available by negotiation.

Payment may be made up front, or in installments, by negotiation. All amounts are in AUD, but payment may be made in GBP, Euros, or US, Canadian or NZ dollars.
