How Mentoring Works
Mentoring work covers discussion of a manuscript at any stage from initial idea to nearly finished product, specific advice, reading or amending of a synopsis, or manuscript proposal, proof reading, structural editing, copy editing (though copy editing is done differently in different publishing houses, so it’s usually just spelling/grammar/punctuation fixes). It does not include specific marketing advice.
Costs
Mentoring attracts the same hourly rate as manuscript assessment or editing. Mentoring time includes reading, writing responses, editing short passages as examples, workshops and email or telephone consultations. It does not include casual email exchanges.
If you have any other writing-related requirements contact me at the e-mail above.
Please note: Affordable Manuscript Assessments is not a literary agency. We cannot suggest a publisher or give specific marketing advice, but on the links page you will find a list of publishers' websites for your convenience.
